Course Rationale:

 

  To assist Missouri citizens in learning to integrate knowledge, skills, and practices required for careers in textiles and apparels. Clothing

  courses taught in Family and Consumer Sciences Education programs enable students to:

 

     a) analyze career paths within textile apparel and design industries

     b) evaluate fiber and textile products and materials

     c) demonstrate fashion, apparel, and textile design skills

     d) demonstrate skills needed to produce, alter, or repair fashion, apparel, and textile products

     e) evaluate elements of textile, apparel, and fashion merchandising

Project 1

Log Cabin Pillow supplies neeed:

 

Project 2

Cartoon Pillow

    -Students will need to purchase a kit

      from Mrs. Christy. Cost is $7.75 and

      includes stuffing.

Project 3

Quilt Sampler

     -Students will use fabric from the

       scrap closet

Project 4

Boxers or PJ Bottoms

    -Students will purchase a kit from

     Mrs. Christy. Cost will depend on the

     kit that is selected.

 

Project 5

Sweatshirt or Hoodie

    -Student will purchase a kit from Mrs.

      Christy. Cost will depend on the kit

      that is selected.

 

 

 

Project 6

Recycle & Redesign

     -Students will repurpse exisitng  

       materials into a new outifit.
